Demographic and psychiatric data of the patients addressed for therapy into the adult therapy department

The present study analyzes the characteristics and the therapeutic progress of people who applied for therapy at the Therapy Department of the O.P.C., during a five year period (1995–1999). It is a retrospective research with a sample of one thousand patients and refers to adults (over 18 years old) who come for a first interview with a personal reason.
The demographic as well as the psychiatric characteristics are presented. The kind of the therapeutic intervention, the duration of each therapeutic scheme and the outcome of the therapeutic procedure, are also described, as well as the state of the patient at the termination of therapy.
